Romeo y Julieta has carried its Shakespearean name through more than a century of Havana cigar making, and the Capuletos Edicion Limitada 2016 is one of its most romantic chapters. Released in 2016, this limited edition introduced an entirely new factory size, the Sobresalientes, which made its first appearance under the Romeo y Julieta banner with this very cigar. Each stick is dressed in a dark, oily Maduro wrapper grown specifically for the Ediciones Limitadas program, with the filler and binder leaves aged for a minimum of two years before rolling. The name itself nods to the Capulet family of the famous play, and the cigar earned its international debut in Verona, the storied setting of the love story that gave the brand its identity.
