This famous old brand has added three new cigars to the regular production portfolio in 2020, including the Romeo y Julieta Hidalgos
. In honor of the 145th anniversary of the brand, Linea de Oro – The Golden Line – represents a third of the collection.
It comes in the latest vitola, the Hidalgos, measuring 57 ring gauge by 4 ⅞ inches. The Linea de Oro will be a medium-to-full-strength smoke, different from the other Romeo y Julietas.
During the XXII Festival del Habano
in 2020, the Linea de Oro was announced to the world and immediately became sought-after by aficionados. There are two gold bands that surround each cigar: one bearing the name of the vitola and one protecting the foot. With a high-gloss lacquer finish on the sycamore boxes, the premium presentation continues. There will be 20 cigars in each box.

There are new cigars on the market packaged in elaborately designed and eye-catching boxes of 20. A warm reddish brown lacquer covers them with a high gloss. Romeo y Julieta’s logo is shown as a medallion on the lid with the classic balcony scene. Decorative gold edges can be found on both the lid and lower part of the box. There is an embossed slap with information about the “Gold Line” on the cigars. The “Gold Line” cigars are adorned with a new ring that is exclusive to the line. The color design is also dominated by gold, as indicated by the name of the line, and carries the designation of the cigar format. Several rings are found at the base of the cigars, indicating that they belong to the “Gold Line”. In the case of a new Habanos line in this category, it is made entirely from long filler tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo.
