The Piramide, known around the world as the Torpedo, is one of the most prized shapes in premium cigars. Its tapered head draws the smoke to a single focal point on the palate, sharpening every nuance and giving the cigar room to evolve from the first light to the final inch. This gift box assembles six Piramides from six of Cuba’s greatest brands, so a single box becomes a side-by-side study of how each house expresses the same classic vitola.
All six measure roughly 6.1 inches with a 52 ring gauge and arrive in a dark wood presentation box. The inner lid carries the brand medallions, and the box is sealed with the official Habanos ribbon.
This box suits a few different smokers. Newcomers to Cuban cigars get a curated lineup that spans medium to full strength without having to buy six separate boxes. Seasoned collectors get aging candidates, since the Montecristo No. 2 and Cohiba Piramides Extra reward several years of patient rest. And because the presentation is genuinely handsome, it makes an easy choice for a birthday, an anniversary, or a retirement gift for someone who already appreciates a good smoke.
How many cigars are in the box?
Six, one Piramide each from Cohiba, Montecristo, Partagas, Hoyo de Monterrey, Romeo y Julieta, and H. Upmann.
What is a Piramide and how should I cut it?
A Piramide, or Torpedo, has a tapered, pointed head. Cut just below the shoulder so the draw stays focused rather than opening the cigar up too wide.
Can these cigars be aged?
Yes. Kept at 65 to 70 percent relative humidity and around 65 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit, the fuller cigars in particular can develop more depth and smoothness over three to eight years.
