Every Cohiba Siglo Vl (Tubos) Box of 15 Luxury is guaranteed 100% authentic, sourced directly from Habanos S.A. with the official seal and full traceability from Vuelta Abajo to your door.
The Cohiba Siglo VI sits at the summit of the Línea Siglo, the modern collection Cohiba introduced in 1992. This particular vitola arrived in 2002 to mark the tenth anniversary of that line, and it quickly became the format most smokers reach for when they want a true flagship Habano. Built in the Cañonazo size, commercially known as a Robusto Extra, each cigar is hand rolled at the legendary El Laguito factory in Havana, where Cohiba production has been concentrated since the brand’s earliest days. The Tubos presentation seals every cigar inside an individual aluminum tube, which protects the wrapper and helps the blend hold its humidity through travel and storage.
The opening third leans elegant rather than aggressive, with a light touch of pepper that settles fast into cedar, soft vanilla, and a creamy backbone. Reach the midpoint and the cigar grows fuller, layering leather and roasted coffee over an earthy core while a faint note of dried fruit drifts in on the retrohale. The final third is where the Siglo VI rewards patience, deepening toward dark chocolate and a hint of caramel sweetness, with the most peppery finish of the entire Siglo range. Overall it reads medium to full in body, complex and balanced from light to nub.
Cohiba Siglo VI smokes beautifully fresh, yet it is also a cigar that repays cellar time. Kept at roughly 65 to 70 percent relative humidity and around 16 to 18 degrees Celsius, the blend tends to round out over a few years as the pepper softens and the sweeter, creamier notes come forward. The aluminum tube offers useful short term protection, but for serious aging most collectors remove the cigars from their tubos and rest them in a well seasoned humidor so the cedar lining can do its work. Rotate your stock occasionally and check your hygrometer to keep conditions steady.
This is a cigar for the smoker who wants a recognizable benchmark in the box. Newcomers stepping up from milder Habanos will appreciate how approachable the first third feels, while seasoned aficionados get the complexity and the roughly two hour smoking time that a serious Robusto Extra delivers. It suits a relaxed evening when there is no rush, and it makes a fitting gift or celebration cigar given its place at the top of the Cohiba lineup.
What size is the Cohiba Siglo VI?
It is a Cañonazo, or Robusto Extra, measuring 5.9 inches (150 mm) long with a 52 ring gauge, making it the thickest cigar in the Siglo line.
How strong is the Cohiba Siglo VI?
It sits in the medium to full range. The first third is gentle and elegant, while the second half builds in body and carries the most pronounced pepper of any Siglo.
What does the Tubos version mean?
Tubos refers to the packaging. Each cigar comes sealed in its own aluminum tube, which guards the wrapper and helps preserve freshness during storage and travel.
