Every San Cristobal de la Habana Oficios Casa del Habano is guaranteed 100% authentic, sourced directly from Habanos S.A. with the official seal and full traceability from Vuelta Abajo to your door.
The San Cristobal de la Habana brand pays homage to the original 1519 name of Havana, and its vitolas borrow their titles from the fortresses and old streets that once guarded the city. Oficios takes its name from one of Old Havana’s historic thoroughfares, a road long associated with skilled trades and craftsmen. This particular cigar belongs to a small group of formats created exclusively for the La Casa del Habano network and carries the recognizable second band that marks those releases. Production was discontinued in 2011, which has turned the Oficios into a sought-after smoke among collectors who appreciate well-aged Cuban tobacco. The factory shape is the Dalias Cortas, a true Corona measuring 5.3 inches (135 mm) with a 43 ring gauge.
The opening third leans on a clean cedar base lifted by a gentle honeyed sweetness, with smoke that feels creamy and unhurried on the palate. As the cigar moves into its middle section, the body fills out and earthier tones arrive, joined by roasted coffee, a touch of buttery nuttiness, and a discreet thread of black pepper that keeps everything lively. The final third pulls these elements together: the cedar stays in the lead while a deeper, richer earthiness settles underneath, and faint notes reminiscent of chocolate round out a finish that stays balanced rather than aggressive.
Because this is a discontinued release, most examples in circulation already carry several years of age, and that maturity tends to soften the cigar while deepening its sweeter, coffee-forward tones. Keep your sticks in a well seasoned humidor held at roughly 65 to 70 percent relative humidity and a steady temperature near 18 degrees Celsius. Stored correctly, these Coronas continue to settle gracefully, so there is no rush to smoke them all at once.
The Oficios suits the smoker who values refinement over raw power. Its medium body makes it approachable for those still building their Cuban palate, yet the layered cedar, coffee, and nut notes give experienced aficionados plenty to study. The Corona format and the roughly one-hour smoking time also make it a natural choice for a midday break or an unhurried evening, and collectors will simply enjoy owning a piece of La Casa del Habano history.
Is the San Cristobal Oficios still in production?
No. It was a La Casa del Habano exclusive that was discontinued in 2011, so any boxes you find today come from older, aged stock.
What size and strength is the Oficios?
It is a Corona, factory name Dalias Cortas, measuring 5.3 inches (135 mm) by a 43 ring gauge, and it smokes at a medium body.
How long does it take to smoke?
Most smokers enjoy it over roughly an hour, which fits the relaxed, elegant character of this format.

Decent cigar but not my favorite from San Cristobal. The San Cristobal de la Habana Oficios Casa del Habano has good flavor – nuts and earth – but didn’t wow me like other Cubans I’ve had. Construction was fine, burn was mostly even. It’s good, just not exceptional. Worth trying though.

The San Cristobal de la Habana Oficios Casa del Habano is a respectable cigar. Nice notes of honey and tobacco, decent construction. However, I found it a bit one-dimensional compared to other San Cristobal offerings. Not bad, but there are better options in this price range.
