The Cohiba 55 Aniversario Edicion Limitada 2021 commemorates fifty-five years since the birth of Cuba’s most prestigious marque, the brand once reserved for Fidel Castro and visiting dignitaries before it ever reached the public. Released in the Edicion Limitada program, this cigar wears the trademark black and gold limited edition band alongside a dedicated 55th anniversary ring. Its format is the Victoria, a robust 150mm by 57 ring gauge Robusto Extra that made its first appearance within the Cohiba portfolio on this very release. The fillers and binders were drawn from the Vuelta Abajo region and given extra maturation, a hallmark of every Edicion Limitada destined for serious collectors.
The opening third leans creamy and refined, with cedar, gentle floral sweetness, and a clean stream of roasted coffee setting the tone.
