This release carries an unusual backstory. Because some of the original jars were rejected as defective, only a partial run reached the market in 1999. Replacement jars did not arrive until 2002, and the balance of the cigars that had been carefully stored from 1999 were finally packed and released late that year, carrying the box code OSU Nov 2002. The result is a release with genuine rarity, further validated by its 95 rating from Cigar Aficionado.
